The paintings will be used as a medium for a participative dialogue between two artists who have common ground and biographical crossovers; recently a search for identity and ones personal space and intimacy, as well as questioning commconsense in the world of contemporary painting. Through the act of painting and it´s playfulness, one might comprehend in the post-process of perception and reading the paintings that gender questions appear, as well as questioning human relationships, sexuality and a search for personal baöances between good and bad, feelings and thoughts, society and individual. The works of both artists can be seen as a form of diary, concerning a wide scale of possible interpretations and self-reflections, opening a space for a dialogue between the artpiece and the audience. The importance of the works is that they can gain their own timeless existence, and therefore reappear in future contemporary contexts. The works are not trying to define anything or give answers, they are merely being themselves.
I think I love you is a phrase expressing some kind of strange relationship between the artist and his own work.
