Auch 2020 darf man sich beim DAVE Festival wieder auf »Music in Motion« freuen. Natürlich nur in Dresdens einzig wahrem Nanoplex, dem Thalia Kino. Kuratiert wird die Musikdokumentationsreihe seit 2017 von Philipp Demankowski.
»Keyboard Fantasies« erzählt die mystische Geschichte von Beverly Glenn-Copeland, teils als Biografie, teils als Tourneedokumentation. 1986 produzierte die von Science-Fiction besessene Künstlerin nahezu in völliger Isolation das Album »Keyboard Fantasies«, das heute Kultstatus hat. Nach der Wiederentdeckung des Albums erzählt der schwarze Trans-Musiker sein Leben: von den einsamen 1960er Jahren bis hin zur Begeisterung über die Gegenwart.

As a sci-fi obsessed woman living in near isolation, Beverly Glenn-Copeland wrote and self-released Keyboard Fantasies in Huntsville, Ontario back in 1986. Recorded in an Atari-powered home studio, the cassette featured seven tracks of a curious folk-electronica hybrid, a sound realized far before its time.
