The trio «spectral3*» consists of three improvisers Martin Režný, Max Arsava and Vasily Ratmansky. The three of them met, improvising in different constelations together and finally, they’re decided to combine their forces for a small tour of performances. Their aesthetic lies within ideas of noise, be it acoustic or electronic, and trying to find common sound languages between three very different instrumental set-ups. Martin Režný performs on synthesizers and euro rack modules which modulate each others sounds, Max Arsava switches between amplified objects (like casete cases, whistles), piano and electronic noise pedals, Vasily Ratmansky plays a feedbacking trombone which has a speaker in its bell and a balloon attached to the bore, which creates complex feedback mechanisms within the instrument. Together their sound, becomes an electro-acoustic space, exploring timbres and their relationships to each other, the audience and the space.
Opus 58 is the impro-duo of Kristupas Gikas and Liepa Vozgirdait?. Working with turntables, animal farm toys, and whatever objects happen to land in their hands, they explore repetition, rotation and angular circularity — both as kinetic patterns and conceptual frameworks.
Rooted in the aesthetics of success and the creative concept of a bad performance, their sound explores the beauty of things falling apart.
