Drei Trommeln und eine Gitarre mit nur drei Saiten formen unseren Sound.“ So sehr, wie das Setup durchaus Erinnerungen an die White Stripes wecken kann, so wenig tut es die Musik. 
FALSE LEFTY’s einzigartiger Stil bewegt sich zwischen Alternative Rock, Indie und Post-Punk, mit starkem rhythmischem Schwerpunkt und gekonntem Songwriting. Manchmal sogar fragil und beinahe zerbrechlich. Aber immer kraftvoll, rhythmisch und unverwechselbar. Nicht zuletzt durch die Musik schafft die Band eine einzigartige Atmosphäre um sich, die ihr Publikum in ihren Bann zieht. Sie stehen auch für eine neue Ära der Punkkultur, denn man kommt nicht drumherum sich zu fragen, was hinter dem ungewöhnlichen Bandnamen steckt. Umerzogene Linkshänder oder falsche Linke?
FALSE LEFTY steht für klare Haltung und Working-class-Ethos: mehr Schulterschluss und weniger Wir-gegen-die-Mentalität. Oder anders gesagt: „l would rather be a false lefty, than no lefty at all.

The music of 2M2 is a confrontation between sonic explosions made by loud monolithic multi- frequencial electronic walls of harsh noise sounds and a heavy textural acoustic drumset with lots of free jazz and grindcore materials... Die Rösslstube is happy to announce: Leslie Graves and Toby Goodshank Brooklyn-based artists Leslie Graves (Gold, Endless Arrows) and Toby Goodshank (The Moldy Peaches, The Pizza Underground) have joined creative forces on their forthcoming album Between Worlds (BB*Island). Acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies make up the core of their music, which draws from a variety of folk-rock influences including Sybil Baer, Judee Sill, REM, Linda Perhacs, and Jessica Pratt. Their lyrics are dreamlike stories that speak to the resilience of humanity, and offer a meditation on love, nature and growth. Many instrumental threads are interwoven throughout with the invaluable skills of Jake Nicoll (The Burning Hell) who lovingly engineered and embellished the recordings. Speaking to their process, Leslie writes, "Toby is great at composing song structures quickly. It was fun to feel into the emotion of the chords and write from there. The process was like chiseling away at a stone to reveal the sculpture underneath. I like when songs come like that - when it feels that they are teaching us as they are revealed."
